The faith of a small child

Every Fast Sunday my heart races and I get so nervous when there are a few moments of silence - but I never have enough nerve to get up in front of everyone a share my testimony - today Kelzey taught me a valuable lesson. During sacrament meeting she asked me if she could go up and talk to - I asked her if she meant that she wanted to share her testimony and she confirmed that she did - I was nervous to let her go up there - you never know what kids are going to say - but there was no way I would feel good about saying no. So - up she went - it was so cute because when she got up in front near the bishopric she just kind of stood there for a few seconds - not know what to do or where to go - I could tell she was quite nervous - but on she went to the pulpit. She bore her testimony on how she knew that this was the true church and that she knew her family loved her and that Jesus loved her too - and that she knew that this was the House of Heavenly Father and Jesus. I was so proud of her! Tonight after family scripture study I asked her why she wanted to share her testimony and if she was scared - she confirmed that she was really scared but it didn't matter because she wanted everyone to know what she knew was true and that she knew that the Holy Ghost was telling her it was the right thing for her to do! I couldn't believe that such a sweet and innocent answer could be such a testimony of faith to me - of course she had to finish by asking me why I didn't share my testimony if I knew it was true .... I had to tell her that I was just too scared and that next time I would try to be more brave - she said she would help me so I could do it - - we'll have to wait and see how that goes =)

That is so awesom Robyn!!! It always amazews me how kids can just go up there and make it look so easy but when it comes to us adults...It is just way too hard!!! I am so proud of Kelzy! Just so you know, next fast sunday you will be at my ward for the blessing on the 2nd...so you just might get out of it for another month! I love you and am glad you have started a blog!

Yeah for starting a blog! I'm so excited. I loved your post. I'm the same way. I get way to nervous to share my testimony in sacrament meeting. Tell Kelzey how proud I am of her. It took a lot of courage to get up there.
